Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator (Cross-Trained)

Position Overview
Seeking a polished, articulate, and detail-oriented Front Desk / Patient Care Coordinator to support patient care and office operations. This role extends beyond traditional front desk responsibilities and includes training in laser therapy, spinal decompression therapy, and Chiropractic Assistant duties. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, demonstrates exceptional customer service skills, and is eager to learn and grow within the practice.

Responsibilities

Front Desk & Patient Services

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional, and welcoming manner.
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments.
  • Check patients in and out while maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Collect payments, process transactions, and assist with insurance-related information.
  • Maintain electronic medical records and patient files.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, doctors, and staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Keep the reception area organized, professional, and welcoming.

Patient Care & Clinical Support (Training Provided)

  • Cross-train in laser therapy and spinal decompression therapy procedures.
  • Assist with patient flow and treatment coordination throughout the office.
  • Support providers and clinical staff to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
  • Learn and follow established patient care protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in a medical, chiropractic, healthcare, primary care, optometry, or similar healthcare office setting plus, not required.
  • Prior front desk, reception, scheduling, or patient coordinator experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced office environment.

Technical Skills

  • Strong telephone and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and standard office software.
  • Experience with scheduling systems and electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
